Man City down West Ham
Saturday’s early Premier League kick-off saw West Ham face off with table-topping Manchester City.
Both sides headed into the game amid fine runs of form, with West Ham having climbed into the top-four with a win over Tottenham last weekend.
It was City, though, who were still viewed as clear favourites ahead of kick-off at the Etihad, with Pep Guardiola’s side looking to make it 20 wins on the bounce.
And, when all was said and done on Saturday, that is exactly what the Sky Blues managed.
A well-worked Michail Antonio goal cancelled out Ruben Dias’ opener. However, John Stones then fired City back into the lead, securing a 2-1 victory for the hosts:

West Ham goalkeeper update
Following the match, David Moyes provided an update on West Ham’s goalkeeping situation.
Lukasz Fabianski had featured in all but one of the club’s league games this season, before Saturday.
However, the 35-year-old was completely omitted from the Hammers’ latest matchday squad, with Darren Randolph instead between the sticks.
It was confirmed pre-match that the Polish international was ruled out due to an elbow injury picked up in training:

However, during the clash, Randolph appeared to pick up an issue of his own, and was unable to take goal kicks on several occasions.
And, speaking post-match, David Moyes confirmed that the shot-stopper has picked up a thigh injury:

As a result, West Ham’s fans were likely concerned that their side would be without their two main goalkeepers when facing Leeds in nine days’ time.
However, the club’s boss also provided an update on Fabianski, confirming that he hopes to have the former Arsenal man back to face the Peacocks:
