Man United vs Newcastle
Manchester United welcomed Newcastle to Old Trafford for a Premier League clash on Sunday evening.
The Red Devils no doubt headed into the game full of confidence, after putting four past Real Sociedad on Thursday.
United’s domestic form, though, has proven less positive of late, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men having notched just one win from their last five league outings before the weekend.
Such form saw Manchester City open up a 13-point gap over the Reds on the back of their win over Arsenal earlier today, meaning United can’t afford to drop any points if they stand a chance of keeping alive their faltering title challenge.
As for Newcastle, their form has been fairly patch of late, with the Geordie outfit having won two and lost three of their last five.
The Magpies, in turn, remain firmly in the relegation scrap, and just three points above Fulham ahead of kick-off at Old Trafford.
Solskjaer on Cavani
Prior to the action getting underway this evening, it was revealed that Man United had made a number of changes to their starting line-up/matchday squad:

Several changes were of course enforced, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having confirmed earlier in the week that all of Scott McTominay, Edinson Cavani and Donny van de Beek were in doubt for the clash.
So, it wasn’t too much of a surprise to see Cavani omitted from the Reds’ matchday squad to take on the Magpies.
United’s fans, however, were no doubt keen to learn when the Uruguayan may mark his return to the pitch.
And, speaking pre-match on Sunday, Solskjaer revealed as much, confirming his hope that Cavani will be back in action either on Thursday, or next Sunday:
Solskjaer says Cavani “not yet fit” and it was too risky to play him. “Hopefully he will play on Thursday or maybe Sunday.”
