Manchester United have reportedly not received any offers for midfielder Paul Pogba ahead of the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old has just over six months remaining on his contract at Old Trafford and there are no signs to suggest that he will negotiate a new deal.
According to the Manchester Evening News, interim boss Ralf Rangnick is prepared to let Pogba leave the club in the winter window, however the Red Devils are yet to receive a ‘single serious’ offer for the Frenchman.
The report added that United were unable to sign a new centre-midfielder last summer as they decided to prioritise the signings of Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo, spending over £100m in the process.
United were interested in both West Ham United’s Declan Rice and Rennes’s Eduardo Camavinga, now at Real Madrid, though a deal for either player failed to materialise.
With Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata also out of contract next summer, Rangnick is now hoping to recruit a new midfielder in the New Year.
Pogba, who has previously been linked with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, has not featured for United since his dismissal in the 5-0 defeat against Liverpool in October due to a hamstring injury.
