Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has urged his players to stick together, on the back of a concerning falling out during the club’s midweek meeting with Crystal Palace.
Maguire vs Rashford
Solskjaer’s men made the trip to Selhurst Park on Wednesday, for their latest Premier League outing.
The Red Devils headed into proceedings having seen the club’s title challenge essentially go up in smoke over the last couple of weeks, forcing them to switch focus to maintaining a spot in the top-4.
When all was said and done in the capital, however, United’s woes only deepened.
A frankly dreadful 90 minutes eventually saw the spoils shared, in a 0-0 stalemate.

As outlined above, meanwhile, en route to their third successive goalless draw, amid a heated atmosphere at Selhurst, tensions between two members of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad came close to boiling over.
The players in question? Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford.
In a series of clips and images to have surfaced online, the details of an expletive-filled back-and-forth between the United stars were provided.
The incident came about midway through the 2nd-half, when, amid a sustained spell of possession on the part of the visitors, Maguire lofted a ball forward into the final-third.
The stopper’s pass, however, was met by Rashford, who had been stood in an offside position.
This prompted United’s captain to shout: ‘Rashie, you’re offside!’
His fellow countryman, however, was evidently in no mood for criticism, and responded with: ‘What the f**k do you want me to do?’
Maguire retorted: ‘Get f**king onside!’
And from here, it quickly became clear that Rashford had heard quite enough from his skipper, hitting back with: ‘F**king knobhead’:
An interesting exchange between Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford 🤔

‘Got to stop that’
Such in-squad issues, of course, could not come at a worse time for United, ahead of a crucial stretch of the season, beginning with a derby showdown versus rampant Man City later today.
In turn, speaking in an interview with Sky Sports this weekend, Solskjaer was inevitably drawn on Maguire and Rashford’s spat.
And the United boss went on to admit that frustrations, at times, have indeed boiled over within the club’s camp of late, before pleading with his stars not to turn on one another when things aren’t going to plan:
‘Sometimes it has boiled over into frustration when it hasn’t worked our way, we’ve got to stop that, the frustration on the pitch.’
‘We want to win but don’t let it affect your desire to do well. Don’t let it affect your confidence or the team spirit.’
