Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp confirms Ozan Kabak a doubt for Fulham/ Andy Robertson says “heads can’t drop”

Jurgen Klopp has had a quick turnaround from last night’s defeat to Chelsea and has spoken to the press prior to his side’s home game with Fulham on Sunday lunchtime.

His side are desperately out of form and just made history losing at home for the fifth time and will be looking to end that miserable run against Scott Parker’s side who are fighting for their Premier League lives.

Speaking of his opponents Klopp said:

Klopp: “I saw a very active Fulham side and Spurs had to defend them. We will have to do the same. I hope we can create more and have more chances against them but we cannot judge Fulham by the position they are in.”

He also addressed why he substituted Mo Salah, who didn’t seem best pleased with the decision, vs Chelsea:

Salah subbed as a precaution. “He looked in that moment like he was feeling the intensity really. I didn’t want to risk him. That is all. That is the situation. It is really rare, I have known Mo long enough now and he usually looks surprisingly fresh until the end.” #LFC

In terms of injuries, Klopp confirmed that Ozan Kabak is likely to be out:

Can’t let heads drop

Following last night’s defeat to Chelsea, Scottish International Andy Robertson has spoken out on a discouraging sign he’s noticed in his teammates.

Speaking to Sky Sports post-match Robertson said;

🗣 “Last season is done, the season before is done. This is a new season. We’re dropping further and it’s not good enough.”

We can’t rely on the past. Last season is over with, it is done. We have nowhere been good enough to what Liverpool team should be. We are dropping further and it is not good enough.” 

He will be hoping his teammates rediscover, preferably with Sunday’s game with Fulham.
