Captain America
Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo has been one of the best players, let alone defenders, in the Premier League this season and is an integral part of Pep Guardiola’s side.
Alongside the likes of Ruben Dias, John Stones and Kyle Walker and others, and despite losing the Manchester Derby on the weekend ending a run of twenty-one consecutive wins, his side are sitting fourteen points clear at the top of the Premier League and are six victories away from claiming a third title in four seasons.
The Portuguese international has given an interview with India’s Star Sports and in it has answered who has been the toughest winger he has faced and in the Premier League and it is Chelsea’s American international Christian Pulisic.
“The most difficult winger I have faced in the #PL is Pulisic ” – Joao Cancelo

“I usually chat with my teammates about it. It may sound strange but for me, the most difficult winger I have faced in the Premier League is Pulisic from Chelsea.
“He is a very skilful and fast player with the ball with quick dribbles. “
“So for me, he is the most difficult winger I have played.”

Pulisic Future
The future of Pulisic has been in the news recently, with his lack of game time under Thomas Tuchel, leading to suggestions that his future may be away from West London.
Tuchel has stated that he has been “unfair” with the player he used to manage at Borussia Dortmund.
Pulisic was sensational for Chelsea after the Covid-19 enforced break and was a key reason Frank Lampard’s side made the Champions League places.
He will be eager to get the chance to show other Premier League defenders that he is difficult for anyone to handle on his day.
