A video clip of Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi celebrating the club’s last-minute equaliser versus Sevilla on Wednesday has taken centre stage online.
Barca turn it around
Ronald Koeman’s men were back in action 24 hours ago, in a Copa del Rey semi-final 2nd-leg showdown with Julen Lopetegui and co.
The Blaugrana headed into the clash with it all to do, having fallen to a deserved 2-0 defeat in the tie’s opener at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan last month.
The visitors were buoyed, though, by a 2-0 win of their own in a La Liga meeting with Sevilla over the weekend.
And, when all was said and done at the Camp Nou on Wednesday, Barca made it two straight wins over the Andalusian outfit.
A thrilling 90 minutes eventually saw the fixture forced into extra-time, after Ousmane Dembele’s rasping early finish from the edge of the area was added to by Gerard Pique with almost the last kick of the game:

Martin Braithwaite went on to prove himself match-winner 5 minutes into extra-time, getting on the end of another pinpoint delivery from the left to send Barcelona through to next month’s Copa finale in dramatic fashion:

Messi jumps for joy
As outlined above, however, whilst the nature of the Blaugrana’s eventual victory on Wednesday has since proven a talking point in itself, what has instead grabbed the majority of the spotlight in the aftermath of the clash is the celebration of one of the club’s stars.
The player in question? Lionel Messi.
After Gerard Pique’s last-gasp equaliser, captain Messi was spotted, on his own, jubilantly jumping and punching the air in the background:

The footage has since understandably pulled on the heartstrings of many a fan of the Catalans, with questions having of course been routinely asked of their talisman’s commitment this season, as his contract continues to wind down.
