Everton vs Burnley
Everton are back in Premier League action on Saturday afternoon.
The Toffees will face off with Burnley at Goodison Park as they look to bounce back from their pretty dismal showing against Chelsea earlier this week, which they lost 2-0.
Said loss did dampen the Toffees’ hopes of securing a Champions League berth slightly, whilst also raising the issue of if the Merseysiders can be consistent enough to finish in the top-four.
But regardless, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are still very much in the race for European football at present.
They are four points off 4th-place Chelsea, but have a game in hand on the Londoners. Everton are also sat 6th, three points above 8th-place Liverpool with a game in hand on their bitter rivals.
As for Burnley, they, after drawing four and losing one of their last five, remain firmly entrenched in the relegation scrap and currently sit just four points above the bottom three.

Carlo Ancelotti on James Rodriguez &Doucoure
Ahead of Saturday’s clash, Carlo Ancelotti held his latest pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon.
During the presser, the Italian would provide a team news update on his side.
James Rodriguez has missed the Toffees’ last three Premier League meetings through injury and is once again set to be sidelined this week.
“James played well, really well, against Man United and against Liverpool – but he was not 100% fit. For the fact that we are going to have really important games, we decided to give him a proper recovery and not let him play at 70%”

Elsewhere, the Italian confirmed that Abdoulaye Doucoure is set for a lengthy layoff, potentially around 8-10 weeks.
“Doucoure had a small fracture on his foot. I don’t know how long, maybe eight weeks or ten weeks. I hope he can recover before the end of the season.”
