Jose rings the changes
With Tottenham leading 4-1 from the first leg, Jose Mourinho has made multiple changes to his starting 11 for tonight’s return leg at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
As no team in Europa League history has overturned a three goal deficit from the first leg before the Spurs manager has rested some of his biggest stars.
Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Tanguy Ndombele and Gareth Bale all take a seat on the bench whilst goal keeper Joe Hart, Toby Alderweireld, Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks and Carlos Vinicus and Steven Bergwijn all are recalled to the starting line up.

Deli Alli also makes a rare start under Jose Mourinho and a chance to impress as he continues to try and win a place back in the first team.

Bale Misunderstood
BUDAPEST, HUNGARY – FEBRUARY 18: Son Heung-Min of Tottenham Hotspur celebrates with teammate Gareth Bale after scoring their team’s first goal during the UEFA Europa League Round of 32 match between Wolfsberger AC and Tottenham Hotspur at Puskas Arena on February 18, 2021 in Budapest, Hungary. Wolfsberger AC face Tottenham Hotspur at a neutral venue in Budapest behind closed doors after Austria imposed a ban on travellers arriving from the UK in an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 variants. Gareth Bale had started all seven of Spurs’ Europa League ties before tonight, but is on the bench tonight which could be a sign that he may well see more action from the start in their upcoming Premier League games.
Speaking pre match on BT Sport, pundits Jermain Jenas and Peter Crouch suggested that Bale may be misunderstood.
“Sometimes, because he’s so laid back as a character, I think some people take that as if he doesn’t care.”@petercrouch and @jjenas8 believe that Gareth Bale has been misunderstood and is starting to show his true quality in a Tottenham shirt after a difficult return ✨ pic.twitter.com/95P2rVCKfn

Only time will tell if Bale is set to become the player Spurs hoped to get when he joined from Real Madrid, but with one foot in the next round, we might not get to see Bale’s resurgence continue tonight.
