Chelsea vs Man United
Chelsea and Manchester United are currently locked in action at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues headed into the tie having enjoyed a fine start to life under new boss Thomas Tuchel.
Before Sunday, Chelsea had remained unbeaten in eight outings across all competitions under the German.
Such fine form had put the Londoners firmly back in the race for a Champions League berth.
And, after West Ham dropped points against Manchester City on Saturday, Chelsea knew that a victory over Man United would see them take the Hammers’ place in the top-four.
Seeing off a Red Devils side who have lost just four league games all season, and are the division’s top scorers, however, is easier said than done, with Sunday’s clash representing one of Tuchel’s toughest tests since making the move to England.
Tuchel explains Ziyech > Werner against Man United
Chelsea of course released their starting line-up an hour prior to kick-off.
And there were a number of interesting decisions made by the club’s boss, including Ben Chilwell starting over Marcos Alonso.
Another was the inclusion of Hakim Ziyech from the off, with Timo Werner on the bench:

The German has been a regular future under Tuchel, whilst Ziyech had notched just 14 minutes of action across the Londoners’ last five league games.
The former PSG boss, though, has since provided an explanation for his decision to start Ziyech over Werner, suggesting that the Moroccan’s display vs Atletico Madrid – along with Werner needing a rest – were the key reasons behind his choice:
