Arsenal move to avoid another Balogun situation by extending contract offer to Kido Taylor-Hart

Premier League giants Arsenal have, on Friday, offered professional terms to youngster Kido Taylor-Hart, it has been confirmed.

Who is Taylor-Hart?

Gunners starlet Taylor-Hart represents one of the most highly regarded up and coming talents on the books in north London.

The youngster, a left-winger by trade, has been plying his trade with Arsenal since the age of 7, and is actually a lifelong fan of the capital giants.

Taylor-Hart has long been lauded for his attacking exploits, with the 18-year-old in possession of a number of impressive traits – including explosive acceleration and a keen eye for goal.

Such attributes have been on full show at youth level to this point in the campaign, with the teen having racked up 6 goals and 4 assists across nine outings for Arsenal’s U18s.

Despite his age, Taylor-Hart is also a regular contributor with Steve Bould’s U23s, for whom he has notched 3 goals in ten appearances in 2020/21.

Emirates stay?

As such, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise to hear that those in a position of power on the red half of north London have made their first move to tie Taylor-Hart down for the foreseeable future.

As per a report from the reliable Chris Wheatley of football.london, Arsenal have extended a professional contract offer to the teenage prodigy.

This comes with KTH’s current terms due to expire in the summer, and interest in his services mounting in the likes of Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.

Mikel Arteta and co. will no doubt be desperate to avoid a similar situation to that of fellow academy graduate Folarin Balogun, who, according to Wheatley, now looks highly ‘likely’ to move on as a free agent in the summer.
