Liverpool vs Fulham
Liverpool played host to Fulham on Sunday afternoon, hoping to put an end to their dismal recent spell of form at Anfield.
After racking up a 68-game unbeaten run at home in the league, the Reds had since lost five in a row on Merseyside.
Such poor form saw Liverpool slip down to 7th in the Premier League table ahead of kick-off on Sunday.
The champions were also four points off a Champions League spot, with 4th-placed Chelsea not in action until Monday.
As for Fulham, whilst they are in the relegation zone, the Cottagers have actually been in decent form of late, falling to defeat in just one of their last five.
So, with Liverpool having fielded a weakened XI, it always looked as though Scott Parker’s side could get one over on the champions.

And it was indeed the visitors who went on to take the lead in the tie.
After enjoying the better of the action in the opening 45, Fulham opened the scoring just before the break, courtesy of a Mario Lemina strike:

This was followed by a pretty dire second 45, during which Liverpool were unable to find a reply, condemning Jurgen Klopp’s men to a 6th straight defeat at Anfield.

Following the Reds’ latest dismal showing, meanwhile, a number of concerning stats have since emerged online, highlighting just how poor they have in fact been of late.
First, it was revealed that Liverpool have scored just one goal from 83 first-half shots over the course of their last 13 league games.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have also fallen behind in six consecutive Premier League games at Anfield for the first time in their history:

Elsewhere, after Mohamed Salah gifted Lemina the opener, it was revealed that Liverpool have made nine errors leading to goals in the English top-flight this season, three more than any other team:

And finally, since the Merseysiders last picked up a point at Anfield, they’ve conceded 10 goals, and scored just one.
