FIFA President Gianni Infantino has insisted that all the players that attended the ongoing Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand including Nigeria’s Super Falcons will have their money through their federation and not their account.
The monetary issue has generated a lot of controversies between the players and their federations.
Countries like Nigeria, South Africa, England, France etc have engaged their federation on how the money should be paid.
Despite the Secretary-General of the football body Fatma Samoura assuring the players during her visit to the camp of the Super Falcons, the President has debunked the insinuations.
“We have issued recommendations, but we are an association of associations.
But whatever payment we do will be through the association and then the association will make the relevant payment to their own players,” he insisted.
