Award-winning singer, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has reportedly raised his endorsement fee and is now demanding a staggering $5 million for an endorsement deal with tech company Billpoint.

The CEO and founder of Billpoint, Linus Williams, took to his Instagram page to reveal this development. He shared that Davido’s team had communicated the cost of bringing the renowned musician on board as an ambassador for the company.

Initially, Williams had prepared a substantial sum of N150 million (approximately $205,000) for the singer. However, Davido’s camp countered with the demand for $5 million.

In an email response to Williams, Davido’s representative wrote, “Hello Mr. Williams, thank you for your email. Davido’s endorsement fee is $5m for a full calendar year and is subject to review at the end of the endorsement period. Kindly let me know how you would like to proceed.”

This move doesn’t come as a surprise, as Davido had recently mentioned that he has adjusted his approach for international collaborations
