A life of glory and virtue

We who are born again, that is born of God, have been called to a life of glory and virtue in Christ and the following bible scriptures speak to this.

2 Peter 1:3 KJV “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue”

1Peter 2:9 AMPC “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

So as new creatures in Christ, we have been called to display the virtues and perfections of God. To show forth the praises of Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvellous light. God wants to showcase us to the world. In fact, the bible says through us, God is manifesting his wisdom to the angels, rulers and authorities. Halleluyah!!!

Ephesians 3:10 NLT “God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.”

Ephesians 3:10 AMPC “[The purpose is] that through the church the complicated, many-sided wisdom of God in all its infinite variety and innumerable aspects might now be made known to the angelic rulers and authorities (principalities and powers) in the heavenly sphere.”

So in Christ, we are to manifest the glory, virtue and wisdom of God. When Jesus was praying in John 17, he said to the Father, that the glory God had given him, was the same glory he gave to us. And thats the glory we manifest. Christ in us, the hope of glory. Christ in us, is glory manifested.

John 17:20-23 “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; ….*And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them*; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”

Colossians 1:27 KJV “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”

What Adam lost was the glory of God. But we who are in Christ, have that glory restored and we are to manifest that glory. We have been called to a life of glory and virtue. Thats our life. He says He has sanctified us, justified us and glorified us. Halleluyah!!! *So we are glorified and we are manifesting His glory.*

Romans 8:29-30 KJV “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also *glorified*.”

2 Corinthians 2:14 AMPC “But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere,”

In the verse above, the bible shows us God leads us in triumph always, making known His presence through us. What a glorious life we have in Christ!!!

*So let this be your mindset in Christ:* No matter what comes your way. No matter what you are involved in. God is at work in you, and He will always cause you to triumph, because you were born of God to display His wisdom, manifest His glory and make His presence known. Halleluyah!!!

Confession:

I am born of God to manifest His glory, virtues, perfections and wisdom. In all situations, God causes me to triumph always, and makes manifest the savour of His knowledge by me in every place, for my life is for the glory of God. Halleluyah!!!

Prayer:

1John5:1 “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God…”

If you are not yet born again, say this prayer below, and you shall be born again as a new creature in Christ.

“O Lord God, i believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, son of the living God. I believe He died and You raised Him from the dead for me to be made a new creature. I believe He’s alive today as Lord and so i confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord of my life from this day. Through Him and in His name, I have eternal life; I am born again as Gods child. Thank you Lord, for saving my soul. Halleluyah!!!”
